Our Commitment

 

CCLCS is committed to providing an excellent educational experience for all students and actively seeks to recruit English Learners (ELs). CCLCS offers a Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) program. A highly qualified ESL teacher provides direct instruction and collaborates with classroom teachers to help English Learners access content as they are learning a new language. CCLCS works to ensure that all core academic teachers have received their SEI endorsement and many non-core academic teachers have received this endorsement as well.  CCLCS encourages its educators to continue professional development on effective teaching practices for English Learners. 

CCLCS works closely with families and sending districts to provide incoming students with varying levels of English proficiency programming appropriate to their needs. Translator and Interpreter Services are provided to families when needed.
