Sandra “Senora H.,” as she is known to her students, learned her Spanish by buying a one-way ticket to Madrid, Spain and staying there until she had mastered the language. While there, she decided to get a Master’s degree in the language from New York University. Señora hopes that all her students will someday have the opportunity to live in a Spanish-speaking country, but until then she promises to make their experience as authentic as possible here in the U.S. Prior to teaching at CCLCS, Senora H. taught Spanish at Cape Cod Tech and English as a Foreign Language in Spain. Senora lives in Dennis with her husband, two children, cat, a dog, and a guinea pig. She also volunteers as a World Music deejay at WOMR in Provincetown, and plays music in espanol as well as other languages.
