Guide to Marine Plankton of Cape Cod
PHYLUM Nematoda

General Description (by students )

Nematodes, also known as roundworms, are unsegmented and pointed at the ends. You can also tell if you have a nematode by the whiplike side to side motion they make. Nematodes are found at the silty bottom of tidal flats or marshes, and sometimes in the plankton of a sheltered body of water.
