Cladocerans or water fleas, are a group of crustaceans that have large eyes, a big carapace and jointed appendages. The genus Podon, which we observed, often swims near the surface of the ocean.

Observations: It was transparent except for eye was brown and some areas that were yellowish brown. It had segmented legs and long nose. It had a horn at the bottom and eggs in a sack on its back and a faceted eye.
