Re: New CCLCS Executive Director
It is with great pleasure and pride that I announce, on behalf of the entire Board of Trustees, the hiring of Mr. Karim Ajania to serve as our new Executive Director effective July 1, 2006.
Mr. Ajania comes to the Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School through our association with the Brick Project of which he is the founder and current Executive Director. The primary goal & premise of the International Brick Project is to cultivate the sense of community, global vision, and confidence our youth will need to make positive contributions in the multi-cultural world of which they are a part. Mr. Ajania has a progressive and proactive approach to education. He shares, very deeply, the same ideals on which the Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School was created eleven years ago and which continue today with its very engaged faculty.
Karim holds a M.Ed. in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in addition to a M.S. in Visual Studies from the Media Lab, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from the University of San Francisco.
Please join me, along with the CCLCS Board, in welcoming Karim to Cape Cod and the Lighthouse Charter School.
